Bill to provide $730 billion for endless war heading to conference committee

Bill to provide 730 Billion dollars for Endless War makes its way to Senate

The House of Representatives has voted to pass the Fiscal Year 2020 National Defense Authorization Act, referred to as the NDAA. The House version of this bill would authorize a whopping $733 billion dollars for defense spending, giving the U.S. the means to respond with violence to conflict around the world.

The American Friends Service Committee does not support the passage of the NDAA, because it is incompatible with our vision of a peaceful world.

However, because the NDAA is very likely to pass, we need you to keep pressure on Congress to include things that move us closer to our goals.
