Palestine Activism Program Coordinator

Zoe Jannuzi works as the Palestine Activism Program Coordinator at AFSC where she activates folks across the United States to further their visions for a world free of apartheid and occupation. She leads training sessions on AFSC’s weekly Action Hours, helping people strengthen their advocacy for an immediate and permanent cease-fire for Gaza. Zoe also helps coordinate speaking engagements for Palestinian authors and activists from Gaza and other parts of Palestine.

Zoe began her formal advocacy work as the Program Assistant for Middle East Policy with the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL). At FCNL, she encouraged legislative and grassroots action for peace and justice in the Middle East, with a focus on Palestine, Yemen, and Iran.

However, her passion and drive for justice work began when, as a child, she protested outside of the Maryland State House, challenging devastating and unjust funding cuts to Baltimore City Public Schools. Zoe still calls Baltimore City home, and now volunteers with Baltimoreans for Educational Equity, an organization committed to improving educational outcomes in Baltimore.

Zoe graduated from Swarthmore College in 2022 with a major in Peace Education and minors in History and Dance Performance. Inspired by her work as a student organizer with Students for Justice in Palestine, she wrote her senior capstone on memory as a liberatory tool to build power in movements for social justice.
