About the Miami Immigrant Rights Program

Our Miami program builds the power of refugees & immigrants in South Florida through leadership development, community education, cultural work, art, coalition building, and campaigns for immigrant rights. We also accompany individuals and families through the complex immigration system by assisting clients in the process of becoming legal residents or naturalized citizens.

Our Work

Community Organizing:
We work towards improving the lives of immigrant communities in South Florida by advancing federal, state, and local immigration policy reforms that will promote their integration and challenge immigration enforcement.

Current Campaigns:

Youth Leadership Development: We equip immigrant youth to take on real-life challenges and teach them practical life and leadership skills to stand up for their rights and the well-being of their communities. Our program aims to prepare a new generation of creative and community-engaged leaders for the immigrant rights movement in South Florida.

Haitian Community Advocacy: We empower Haitian refugees to be effective advocates of their community by providing civic engagement & voter education, citizenship classes and advocacy training on policy issues that will advance the rights and protection for Haitian migrants.

Immigration Assistance: We provide clients with guidance and assistance in submitting immigration applications to USCIS. Our certified paralegal and BIA certified staff provides this service.

We offer the following services:

  • Citizenship Assistance
  • Adjustment of status (residence)
  • Family Reunification
  • DACA
