Everyone living on this planet is living through a climate emergency. We see increasingly intense storms, droughts, heat and cold waves. The American Friends Service Committee is positioned to help people suffering from these effects. We work with communities to create climate solutions that center economic and racial justice and human rights.

We launched the Climate Emergency Fund in February 2024 to give donors a way to support solutions for the crisis. In places like Somalia and Kenya, gifts from people like you are helping climate refugees, driven from their homes by drought and violence. In the U.S. and Latin America, these funds help people use indigenous and sustainable farming practices and retain their land. And all that work is combined with advocacy, education, and organizing.

The changes we need are not only at the community level. But community by community, we can lead the way to a more just, peaceful, and sustainable future.

For a large sample of news and stories from our work, see the Climate Justice news page.

We hope you are impressed with what you see and donate to support AFSC’s Climate Emergency Response Fund.
