Austin Reports Back from the US Social Forum

On August 19, 2010 at the Texas State Employees Union premises in Austin, Ann Lewis, Judith Rosenberg and Josefina Castillo reported on their experiences at the U.S. Social Forum held in Detroit in June. Judith and Josefina are key organizers with Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera, originally an AFSC program now becoming independent. This video is a ZGraphix production, produced by Jeff Zavala.

Hutto Vigil - August 7th, 2010

A recent vigil at the T. Don Hutto immigrant detention center in Taylor, Texas marked the one year anniversary of when the Obama Administration's ended family detention at the facility. Several hundred immigrant women remain imprisoned. Josefina Castillo of Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera was one of the speakers at the vigil.
This 16-minute documentary film by Kenny Mann documents the formation of Human Rights Cities in Washington, D.C. and Thies, Senegal. Solitary Confinement: Cruel & Inhuman (v.1 - 2009)
