Farm to Foodstamp Training

Learn how to feed your community and expand your farm business by accepting SNAP!

During this pandemic, more people are using food stamps since tens of thousands of New Mexicans have lost their jobs. Join us for an online workshop about how farmers can accept food stamps as payment for your food! The workshop is taught by South Valley farmer Casey Holland and New Mexico Double Up Food Bucks Program Manager Sarah Lucero, who will take you step by step through the process. AFSC staff will support small scale sustainable farms in New Mexico with follow up so that you can provide your food to more of our community through the SNAP/food stamp program. 

We believe in the power of farmers sharing their expertise with peers - to increase production capacity, to regenerate soils, and to feed all New Mexicans healthy, local, and sustainable food.
