AFSC's Center for Community Healing and Transformative Practices is a place of resiliency and recovery. The Center works with community groups to heal trauma, value ourselves and our culture, and create lasting social change.
We do our work in a variety of ways, such as:
- Peacemaking Circles that heal fractured relationships and address the conditions that hold us in a place of oppression.
- Convenings that bring people together to study the structure of oppression and things that keep us from developing relationships based on equity and mutuality.
- Gatherings where we share practices that heal communities and develop servant leadership.
- Workshops that increase the "toolbox" of servant leaders who are confronting individual and systemic trauma.
