Sharon Goens-Bradley, regional director, U.S. Midwest

Sharon Goens-Bradley is the Regional Director for the AFSC’s Midwest region. The region currently consists of programs in Chicago, St. Louis, the Twin Cities of MN, and Ypsilanti, Michigan. A true Midwesterner, Sharon is a native of Michigan and currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her wife and daughter. She started her sojourn with AFSC in 2012 as the Program Director for the Twin Cities Healing Justice program. Much of Sharon’s professional career has centered on work featuring peacemaking and anti-racist education and organizing. She has traveled extensively, including living in Asia for 5 years. 

Sharon’s academic background includes a BA in Russian language with a minor in Chinese and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. Sharon is also a trained mediator, Circle Keeper, and facilitator. She has led numerous peacekeeping circles working with young people, community groups, Quakers, and others.
