Mark leads the Communications Department to support timely, purposeful, and engaging internal and external communications in a variety of media. The communications team is also coordinating AFSC's centennial events, including a summit and traveling exhibit. Originally hired for a 12-week stint in 1999, Mark has been with AFSC in different capacities ever since. During that time, he has led efforts in web strategy and development, public education materials, public opinion research, fundraising appeals and marketing, brand strategy, and organizational culture improvement. Mark attended Oberlin College and started his communications career working in their public relations department. He now lives in Philadelphia's Mt. Airy neighborhood with his wife, author/illustrator Amy Ignatow, and two curious and energetic children.
