Despite its calls for a non-military resolution to the conflict in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory, the U.S. continues to fund the militarization of the conflict through the direct and indirect military assistance it provides to the Israeli military and the Palestinian Authority.

In the U.S., AFSC supports efforts to change government policies and corporate/institutional practices that support inequality, the occupation, and denial of refugees’ rights. In the region, AFSC challenges the fragmentation of Palestinian society and the militarization of Israeli society to call for full equality between Palestinians and Israelis.
In order to challenge the economic systems that sustain and profit from occupation and violence in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory, AFSC supports economic activism including the use of nonviolent Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) tactics.
