Key Issue

U.S. militarization of Israel-Palestine

Despite its calls for a non-military resolution to the conflict in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory, the U.S. continues to fund the militarization of the conflict through the direct and indirect military assistance it provides to the Israeli military and the Palestinian Authority.

AFSC works to change U.S. policy to instead support those pushing for nonviolent change, an end to Israel's occupation, and equality between Palestinians and Israelis.

Story

Since World War II, the U.S. has given more military aid to Israel than to any other country. Talking with Israelis who are willing to speak out about the deepening militarization of Israeli culture and with Palestinians who can testify to the destructive effects of current military aid, we hear strong voices illustrating why further military aid is counterproductive to finding a durable solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
