Hugo came to the United States at a young age and has been living in Colorado ever since. He is in deportation proceedings and was denied his request for favorable use of prosecutorial discretion despite the fact that he qualifies for the DREAM Act and has a clean criminal record. If deported, Hugo will be separated from his parents and 3 younger siblings.

Hugo graduated from Estes Park High School in Colorado and wishes to enlist in the armed forces, but is unable to due to his immigration status. Hugo has been suffering from Rheumatic Fever for the past 2 years and is receiving medical treatment. Hugo needs to stay in the United States to continue his treatment.

According to the memo issued by John Morton, Hugo is not a priority for deportation and should be granted favorable exercise of prosecutorial discretion.
