Our taxpayer dollars should be spent on things that make our communities healthy, safe, and strong, like health care. Instead, Congress chose to spend over $738 billion on the military, weapons, and war this year.
As we struggle to keep pace with the health care needs created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact of this choice is clear. Had our government chosen to invest in hospitals, life-saving medical devices, and medical training in 2019, we would all be in a better position today.
Tell Congress: Stop spending our tax dollars on weapons and war and reinvest in our communities!
