Take action: Keep Homestead child detention center closed!

The Biden administration is planning to reopen a detention center for migrant children in Homestead, Florida—essentially imprisoning children who are coming to the U.S. seeking refuge. Many are fleeing violence and poverty and seeking asylum in the United States.

AFSC Florida worked with local and national partners for months to shut down the detention center in 2019, when it held around 2,000 young people under President Trump. Now we are mobilizing to prevent the Biden administration from reopening the center—and urging him to keep his promise to reunite families and treat immigrants with the respect and dignity we all deserve.

Take action to stop the reopening of the Homestead immigrant child detention center today!
