Women’s Program Internships
This internship is not currently available.
The Women’s Program strengthens both the ability and commitment of AFSC to address women’s needs and interests, and includes feminist perspectives in all stages of program activities. The program works with other AFSC units to maintain a two-way bridge to a growing international and Third World feminist network and to draw upon insights and experiences of U.S. women’s movements.
The Women's Program seeks interns to engage in projects that use feminist perspectives to influence AFSC policy and practice. Interns should demonstrate a deep commitment to eliminating sexism, a root cause of violence. Interns learn how a nongovernmental organization operates, and they are expected to design projects based on personal interests and the program’s current needs.
