Autumn Blough, AFSC 2012 Peace Intern at Peace Organizing Training

The Kansas City AFSC is seeking part time paid peace interns to work with AFSC staff and volunteers in support of our peace campaigns. The intern will work eight to ten hours each week between August 2012 and May 2013.

In addition to providing support for program campaigns the intern will work to engage youth from after-school, faith, high school and university settings in creative  peacemaking and social change projects. Activities will focus on: increasing activism; promoting understanding of militarism and economic justice; exposing how corporations and the 1% control U.S. policy and legislation; and deepening advocacy and visions of a just and peaceful world.

Application deadline: June 29, 2012
