Join the American Friends Service Committee, New Mexico program, in Albuquerque on Sat. March 29th to celebrate the life of Cesar Chavez! Marcha begins at 10:30am at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, followed by a fiesta from 12-3pm on the plaza with live music, awards, children activities, and dancing. AFSC nominated Cesar Chavez for the Nobel Peace Prize three times: 1971, 1974, and 1975. AFSC NM co-director, Sayrah Namaste, is the co-chair of the Recuerda a Cesar Chavez, which plans this annual celebration in Albuquerque in which thousands of people attend. The theme of the event is "Luchando, Educando, Celebrando"
