National STOPMAX Steering Committee

The STOPMAX Campaign is coordinated by the National Healing Justice Program of AFSC. It engages activists through national working committees, staffed local organizing projects, and through campaign partnership.

The STOPMAX  Steering Committee grew out of the STOPMAX Campaign Conference in May 2008. We received more than 80 nominations! The committee has now been formed of AFSC Healing Justice staff, current and formerly imprisoned people, loved ones of people in prison, and allies from across the country. The committee has begun to meet regularly to help guide to the campaign and set national priorities and activities, both in smaller working subcommittees and as a group.
