AFSC - Seattle, WA
Regional Indian Program
The
Regional
Indian Program urges respect for Native
American treaty rights,
supports tribal cultural renewal, and works
with the Intertribal Canoe
Society to develop new leaders and coordinate
the annual Intertribal
Canoe Journeys. Our work is changing its focus
from the Canoe Journey into work relating to
the federal truth-in-advertising laws of the
Indian Arts and Crafts Act. We are currently
working with a committee of Native artists on
passing a Washington State Indian Arts and
Crafts Act.
