Undaunted Spirits

These vignettes from the AFSC's humanitarian services and long-range approaches to social reform are tiny peepholes into the vast expanse of the AFSC's work during the past 85 years.
The lifesaving benefits of a cup of warm cocoa in the aftermath of war can be measured by the deep appreciation of those who have been saved to live another day or a lifetime. Contrasted to such practical efforts, the AFSC has also offered well-reasoned and sensible solutions to seemingly intractable problems, such as international relations, poverty, injustice, inequality, and discrimination. There have occasionally been reassurances that to resolutely stand on principle can bring the satisfaction of wrong made right.
