AFSC’s Central Regional Office, based in Des Moines, has coordinated peace and justice programs in the nation’s heartland since 1948. The region currently does immigrant rights work in Denver and Des Moines; peace building efforts in Kansas City and Des Moines; and a healing justice program in St. Louis.

Geographically, the Central Region is AFSC's largest US region covering 11 states:

North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. We invite your support of and participation in our work!
