International Days of Action to End the Militarization of Afghanistan

Thursday, October 7, the 9th anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan, will be marked internationally and in Raleigh and Greensboro North Carolina by a call for an end to the militarization of that country.

In Raleigh, North Carolina Peace Action will recognize the anniversary at 4:30 PM with representatives of Muslim, Christian, and secular organizations reading an open letter to our national representatives and candidates citing the cost in lives and treasure to North Carolina and calling for an end to reliance on military solutions.

In Greensboro, American Friends Service Committee: Area Office of the Carolinas will recognize the anniversary at 12:00 PM with a Film Screening of “Rethink Afghanistan”
