Third World Coalition

US Social Forum 2007

The Third World Coalition's Annual Meeting 2007 will be in Atlanta and coincide with the first annual US Social Forum. This Annual Meeting is a bit different from years past since it will be in the midst of the USSF.  We aim to take full advantage of this opportunity. The TWC will be meeting all day on Tuesday, June 26, and this will be followed by an AFSC reception at the celebrated Ebenezer Baptist Church. To learn more about the King Center, visit www.thekingcenter.org.

Some TWC plans at the Social Forum are:

  • a workshop entitled U.S. Criminal Just System: A Tool of Repression
  • video montage focusing on TWC's participation in the US Social Forum
  • bringing communities of color together to learn from each other's struggles locally, nationally and globally.

Check out the USSF website which gives details about the communities and struggles that will be discussed at the forum.

About the Third World Coalition (TWC)

The Third World Coalition (TWC) was founded in 1971 by AFSC People of Color staff and committee persons to address the vestiges of racism in AFSC policies, practices and program work and to serve as network and resource for People of Color within the organization and related groups.
