Mexico Summer Project
70th Anniversary of the Mexico Summer Project
The Mexico Summer Program, which began in 1939, is the longest running project of AFSC’s International Program. It has been one of the pioneering programs of inter-cultural contact, learning and service for youth in the USA and from Mexico and many other countries around the world. 2009 will mark the 70th anniversary of the program. This will mark an important milestone in the history of the program, which is an important expression of longstanding Quaker engagement in multi-cultural understanding and collaboration.
