Our projects are designed to connect small, intergenerational groups (ages 14 and up and not limited to Friends) with the work of AFSC in the U.S. Southwest and Mexico which overlap within the IMYM. more >

China Summer Work Camp
The China Summer Workcamp begins in Beijing, one of the most developed cities in the world for a few days of sightseeing. Participants will then travel to the Hunan province in rural central China, one of the most remote areas left on the Asian continent. For three weeks, participants will join Chinese, Korean and Japanese volunteers in teaching English and environmental studies to local children. There will be regular days off for participants to visit nearby towns, tour a local market, go on hikes and have an overnight homestay with a city family. The Workcamp concludes with a graduation ceremony for all students. more >
