B'tselem - The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories endeavors to document and educate the Israeli public and policymakers about human rights violations in the Occupied Territories, combat the phenomenon of denial prevalent among the Israeli public, and help create a human rights culture in Israel. See Testimonies of Occupation

On May 15th the world commemorates the creation of the state of Israel and the Palestinian Nakba.  Nakba, the Arabic work for "catastrophe", refers to the displacement and dispossession of the Palestinian people.  For some this will be a day of celebration; for others a day to mourn or protest.  In 1967 Israel took control of the West Bank or Occupied Palestinian Territories.  Visit this map to learn more about some of the ongoing realities of occupation and dispossession.
