I Dream a World 2007
Philadelphia
On March 17th, 2007, the AFSC Community Relations Unit held its annual I Dream a World Event. This year we received artwork from YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School, Prisoner Reunification Transportation Services, and the Youth Art and Spirituality Project. The keynote speakers at the event were Professor Linn Washington from Temple University and the Philadelphia Tribune, and Reverend Derrick Johnson from the Joshua Harvest Church in Wilmington, DE. Jamie Graham from Pennsylvanians for an Alternative to the Death Penalty also spoke, and several students from YouthBuild presented their artwork as well. The event was culminated by two spoken word pieces from Greg “Just Greg” Corbin and a benediction from Reverend Johnson.
