Friday, October 14, 2011 (All day) - Saturday, October 15, 2011 (All day)

Please visit or see the attached flyer for more schedule information. The conference will run 12:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14 and 8:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Iowans have been rightly proud of the strong work we have done to advance the cause of peace with justice in Palestine and Israel. Building on the work of two Sabeel conferences, multiple education forums and speakers, films series, and bird- dogging candidates, peace and justice advocates around Iowa are coming together to strategize, organize and effect change within the Iowa congressional delegation.

You are invited to be a part of this witness and this action. This conference will highlight the voices of people working to bring peace with justice to Palestine and Israel. Drawing from sources such as Churches for Middle East Peace, the US Campaign to End the Occupation, and renowned theologians such as Don Wagner, we guarantee stimulating and goal-directed workshops.  Our keynote speakers, Phyllis Bennis and Laila El-Haddad, will motivate and mobilize as we broaden and deepen the campaigns for a new US policy in Palestine and Israel.

Please join with the American Friends Service Committee – Middle East Peace Education Project, Friends of Sabeel – North America, Methodist Federation for Social Action, and over 32 other allied organizations in co-sponsoring this ground-shifting event.
