Rally for Civil Liberties

Thursday, September 30, 2010 - 1:00pm

Des Moines Peace and Justice groups call for a Rally for Civil Liberties
Keep FBI out of our homes and workplaces.
The rally and press conference will be followed by a visit to the FBI office in
West Des Moines.
Recent actions by the FBI ( http://unitedforpeace.org/) in raiding the homes
and offices of peace groups in Minnesota and Chicago; and recent revelations
about the FBI's search of homes and garbage cans, and video surveillance
of peace groups in Iowa City (see link below ) impel us to come back to the
streets in defense of our rights to engage in the nonviolent work for peace
and justice--and to support those now  being harassed.
