What are we doing to achieve peace within ourselves and larger communities?
Hosted by American Friends Service Committee, Middle Atlantic Region, the Peace on Purpose conference seeks to bring together participants and facilitators from its various programs and partners for a day of interactive workshops, engaging discussion, thought provoking videos and performances. Topics include active listening and community engagement, conflict resolution strategies, human rights and economic justice, alternatives to war and torture, prison industrial complex, reducing youth violence, popular education and more. Community members, organizations, schools and religious institutions welcome. Youth 12-25 especially encouraged to register. Vendor space is also available.
