March for Peace and Social Justice

Monday, June 7, 2010 - 12:00pm

Churches, peace organizations and individuals are invited to join a March for Peace and Social Justice on Monday, June 7 at 12:00 noon.  The march, is co-sponsored by the United Methodist Conference Board of Church & Society and the Iowa Chapter of Methodist Federation for Social Action (MFSA).  Participants will gather at Hy-Vee Hall and walk to Nollen Plaza (approximately four blocks).

The event will include prayer for the many peace and justice issues impacting our local, national, and world community as well as thoughtful sharing and reflections.  Whether you are concerned about violence and war, immigration reform, health care, civil rights and full inclusion, care of the environment, or other urgent issues of the day, this is an opportunity to join hundreds of others in lifting a voice for justice and peace.  For more information on the event and how to get involved, please contact Rev.
