Join us on Saturday, January 11th to recognize the work of some outstanding and diverse local young filmmakers as they show us how they would put our trillion-dollar plus federal discretionary budget to use if they were in charge.

Films screened will be ones created by KC area youth groups and classes which worked with the KC American Friends Service Committee in making films for AFSC’s national “If I had a Trillion Dollars” (IHTD) Youth Film Festival. Before making films youth participated in “Budget 101” training and sessions to help participants think about community needs and how they wanted to spend out tax dollars.

at Tivoli Cinema

4050 Pennsylvania Avenue, KCMO

The event is free and open to the public.

Youth leaders,  educators and youth program coordinators are invited to contact us to find out how their high school-aged group can be involved in next years IHTD Film project or with our If I Could Change the World Spoken Word Project, which will begin in late January 2014.
