Saturday, January 12, 2013 - 11:00am - 12:30pm
Join us on January 12th to recognize the work of some outstanding and diverse local youth filmmakers as they show us how they would put our trillion-dollar federal discretionary budget to use if they were in charge.
Films screened will be ones created by KC area youth groups and classes which worked with the KC American Friends Service Committee in making the films for AFSC’s national “If I had a Trillion Dollars” (IHTD) Youth Film Festival. Before making films youth participated in “Budget 101” training and sessions to help participants think about community needs and how they wanted to spend out tax dollars.
The event is free and open to the public.
