Iowa CCI's Statewide Convention:
TOUGH & TENACIOUS for 35 years!

The Iowa CCI family comes together once a year at our Statewide Convention.
It's a great time to meet up with old friends and make new while reconnecting to what’s important - standing together for action and the Iowa we all want to see.

Again this year, we have an action-packed agenda with keynote Chris Hayes from the Nation and other powerful workshop guest speakers. And, although we'll be celebrating our 35 year anniversary, our focus will be on the future and how we can build more power and influence to win on our issues. (And, it will be a darn good time.)

**Bonus for convention attendees: Friday night convention pre-party at the CCI headquarters in Des Moines. Social event with light dinner and drinks and time to mingle with members and our guest speakers. Be sure to RSVP!**

Keynote speaker - Chris Hayes, D.C. editor of The Nation magazine

As journalist and blogger, and frequent guest on Countdown tihe Keith Olberman, Hayes has covered progressive issues including union organizing, the economy, the environment and the culture of technology in political movements. With an eye on the national scene, but with roots in community organizing, Chris Hayes knows the importance and power everyday people standing up for what's right.

Hayes will speak about the need for a movement that champions community values and confronts corporate power to push for a new economy that works for all. He's a fiery and entertaining speaker you don't want to miss!
