The Invisible War

Friday, August 10, 2012 - 7:00pm

"The Invisible War", a documentary that won an award at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, exposes the issue of widespread rape in the United States Military. Within days of seeing the film in April, Secretary of Defense Leon Paneta announced a crucial change in the way in which reported rapes will be investigated in the military - and he told one of the film's producers that the film was partly responsible for his decision.
This powerful film is not playing in all theaters. Several organizations in the Northwest suburbs have joined together to bring the film to this community.
