Free Public Showing of Films about Crime, Healing, and Art

Thursday, October 21, 2010 - 7:00pm - 9:30pm

With more and more prisons being built and more and more people being sent to prison—sometimes to solitary confinement—two films on  the life of prisoners and their families, crime victims, and life after release are particularly timely. Both will be screened on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Friends Center at 1501 Cherry St. in Philadelphia.  Co-sponsored by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), a Quaker organization devoted to peace and justice, and the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, the evening will include an interactive panel discussion.
