CPS school utilization committee meets this Friday, Dec. 14, 7-9 p.m. at Horner Park (California and Montrose) This is a bogus committee that is justifying closing around 100 schools due to "underutilization." Their formula allows for up to 36 kids in a class being considered "efficient" use of space. In addition, the schools that are targeted are west and south side, making their agenda overtly racist. They are using smoke and mirrors to justify opening more charters, in a national initiative to privatize public education and make "fat cats" richer with tax incentives while they try to run schools like a business. Remember, money for war prevents funding of schools.
