The feature-length documentary AMERICAN ARAB will profile various Arab Americans living in America today, from those who have spent their entire lives in the U.S., to those seeking political asylum from wartime violence in their home country.  Director Usama Alshaibi was born in Baghdad in 1969 and later moved to the American Midwest.  In this documentary, he will reveal his own story while introducing us to others, sparking an honest conversation about the identity of, and perceptions about, Arabs living in post-9/11 America.  This entertaining and timely film will incorporate animation, archival material, and real-life scenes of Arabs living in America
