The IHTD Youth Film Festival asks young people to speak out on the federal budget and asks them to consider:

  •   The $1 trillion spent yearly on the U.S. military
  •   The $1 trillion spent on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan
  •   The $1 trillion plus in tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans

Private Reception - 6:00 pm
Young Chicago filmmakers fresh from an AFSC delegation to Washington DC will be presented with Speaking Truth to Power awards and will share their experiences of speaking to Congressional members through their dynamic films. Light buffet by Hel’s Kitchen will be served.

Film Festival – 7:30-9:00 pm
Watch the films submitted by youth from across the country answering the question "What would you do with a trillion dollars instead of spending it on war?"

$75 Private Reception + Film Festival
$40 Low Income/Student
$10 Film Festival Only (Please arrive by 7:15 pm)

All event proceeds will benefit AFSC's "If I Had a Trillion Dollars" youth film festival project.
