Background
The Quaker International Affairs Representatives
(QIARs) work globally in troubled regions to promote peace, justice,
and reconciliation. QIAR work is by nature quiet, whether bringing
together those who are in conflict, or linking people between grassroots,
national, regional, and international policy levels. Grounded in
core Quaker values, such as peace, long-term relationships, simplicity
and respect ‘for that of God in everyone,’ QIARs encourage
and support communities as they seek solutions that are appropriate
for their cultures and needs.
