Vigils Today in Support of the Postville Detainees

In Des Moines: A candlelight vigil in support of the 300 workers detained in Postville will be held in Des Moines on Tuesday, May 13 on the sidewalk outside the Federal Building, located at 210 Walnut Street.

Please come at 4:30 to help make signs.  A short program will be held at 5:00. The vigil is sponsored by Iowa Allies for Immigration Reform (AIR) and will take place rain or shine.

In Waterloo: Prayer Vigil in response to ICE Raid in Waterloo, May 13, Tuesday, 6:30 P.M., Queen of Peace Church, 320 Mulberry St., Waterloo

The Catholic parishes in Waterloo and Waterloo Hispanic Ministry will sponsor this prayer service. You are invited to join us.
