AFSC Colorado

AFSC Colorado works in three program areas:

Immigrant Rights

Human Rights Supporters at May 1 Rally
AFSC helped organize a march in which 125,000 people converged at the Colorado State Capitol to support Immigrant/Human Rights.

Coloradans for Immigrant Rights, a project of AFSC Colorado, organizes allies in support of immigrant rights. Our core values include the beliefs that immigrants deserve to be treated with respect, immigrants enrich life within our communities and our culture and immigrants should have a voice in the discourse over decisions that affect them.

Youth Organizing and Demilitarization

youth conference
After attending a weekend training at AFSC, students discuss their concerns with a military recruiter.

AFSC Colorado’s Youth and Militarism Program is dedicated to ensuring that Colorado’s young people have an array of information on which to base decisions about their futures.  We emphasize youth empowerment, truth in recruiting, and alternatives to the military.

imagine peace

We support one of the many weekly peace vigils in Denver. As we enter the sixth year of the U.S. occupation of Iraq, we are working with others in the community to give voice to the significant public opposition to our continued presence in Iraq.
