Austin Volunteer Opportunities


Volunteers are an integral part of AFSC - Austin. Listed below are volunteer opportunities that offer a variety of levels of involvement and commitment. If you want to be involved in social change, share your skills or gain new skills, contact us!
  1. We need Spanish translation and interpretation. Get on our list and we'll call you when needed. Spanish fluency required.
  2. Assisting with general office administrative support. (Answering phones, mailings, event planning, data entry, confirmation calls, etc.)
  3. Computer assistance. (Troubleshooting, web page updates, data base management.) Computer skills required.
  4. Represent AFSC on boards and coalitions of which AFSC is a member.  Training will be provided.
  5. Give presentations for churches and community groups on global economics, debt relief and militarism.
  6. Become a member of the AFSC Austin Area Program Committee. This body functions as a local board. Meetings are every three months. Terms are three years. Help set the future direction of AFSC!
  7. Shoot video or take photos at AFSC - Austin events.
  8. Write articles for our quarterly newsletter.
