Austin Peace Rally, January 3, 2004

Start the New Year peacefully..Cut the bloated military budget to fund domestic needs! End the policy of pre-emptive war! Repeal the USA PATRIOT Act and end spying on dissidents!

Austin Against War is leading a coalition of peace organizations, including AFSC-Austin, and sponsoring a peace rally to kick off the New Year. Speakers include: 

Dennis Kucinich - Democratic Presidential Candidate
Michael Badnarik - Libertarian Presidential Candidate
Charlie Jackson - Texans for Peace. Charlie recently returned from a Christian Peacemaker Team delegation to Iraq. 
Thad Crouch - Austin Conscientious Objectors to Military Taxation
Richard Troxell - Universal Living Wage
Lesley Ramsey - Code Pink and NOW
A representative from Military Families Speak Out
A representative from Veterans for Peace
