Immigrant Rights Project
The Immigrants’ Rights Project works on behalf of immigrants in Colorado. Our work includes:
 |
| AFSC's Gabriela Flora speaks to a crowd of 100,000 supporters of immigrant rights. |
Organizing Coloradans for Immigrant Rights, a group of non-immigrants who educate other citizens about the human rights of immigrants, and mobilizing them to take action to support immigrant rights
Offering speaking engagements to faith and community groups about the moral imperative of welcoming the stranger
Contributing AFSC perspectives to coalition campaigns for immigrant rights
 |
| Immigrant/human rights supporter at March 25, 2006 rally. |
Contributing to building the statewide immigrants' rights movement, the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition, as one of the founding organizations and currently serving on the steering committee. CIRC was founded in January 2002 when immigrant, faith, labor, youth and community organizations united around the statewide driver's license campaign. The founding organizations shared the collective vision of a building a permanent statewide coalition and unified statewide voice to defend and advance immigrant justice.
