Join the We Divest Campaign

Ten things you can do to support AFSC's Israel-Palestine and divestment programming

1. Join the We Divest – TIAA-CREF Campaign. Sign the Petition and encourage others to do so. (more information at www.wedivest.org)

2. Host a house party and invite a speaker to come and talk about the We Divest Campaign or about the situation in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories. Help us reach new people who have these retirement funds, especially those “on the fence” about divestment.

Act To End Human Rights Abuses in Israel and Palestine

The dismissal of the lawsuit filed by the family of Rachel Corrie against the State of Israel leads AFSC and the We Divest campaign to renew our demand that TIAA-CREF divest from companies that profit from Israel’s occupation and human rights abuses.

AFSC supports student speech on Palestinian rights

During our work with students, AFSC has been witness to increasingly well organized and well funded efforts to silence student speech in support of Palestinian rights. Forms of intimidation have included name calling, death threats, physical attacks, and legal actions.  AFSC and 12 other organizations are now speaking out, affirming the First Amendment rights of students to speak on these issues.

Students call on TIAA-CREF to stop investing in Israeli occupation

Students from colleges and universities around the United States have joined AFSC and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) in sending a video message to one of the largest financial services companies in the United States: divest from corporations that profit from the Israeli occupation.
