LGTBQ Youth Wellness Event Planning Meeting

Sunday, November 7, 2010 - 2:00pm - 3:30pm

On December 4th Baltimore's Youth Empowerment through Conflict Resolution Program and Kenneth Morrison have teamed up to organize the community to address anti-gay bullying and LGBTQ youth suicide. Event will take place at Coppin State University and will include a Facilitated Dialog*, Panel Discussion and Book Release Party.

AFSC Weekend Work Camp

Friday, August 13, 2010 - 6:00pm - Saturday, August 14, 2010 - 5:00pm

The New England Regional Office of the AFSC is hosting a short weekend work camp. We need help removing wallpaper, painting, etc. in our common spaces.

We will provide pizza, cold drinks and hopefully some fun.

All ages welcome.

Times: Fri. 6:00-9:00 PM, Sat. 9:00 AM-5:00 PM


We are located 6 blocks north of Porter Square T station on Mass Ave.

Internships and volunteer opportunities at AFIS

The American Friends Immigrant Services Program (AFIS), based in Miami, has a number of volunteer opportunities available for energetic individuals throughout the southeast who are passionate about immigration and human rights and who are interested either in assisting in the office or in organizing educational events and activities in their communities. Additionally, AFIS also needs community-minded individuals to serve as volunteers on a number of committees. If you are interested in volunteering, write to LPerez-Reynozo@afsc.org.
