AFSC joined 14 other church groups in calling on congress to condition the provision of U.S. military aid to Israel on Israel’s compliance with applicable U.S. laws. There were many responses to this letter, both critical and affirming. This letter responds to some of the critisism the letter received.
Starting October 4, 2010, posters from the Committee for a Just Peace’s “Be on our side: End Military Aid to Israel” campaign will be posted on Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) “el cars” for four weeks. Look for us on Blue and Red Line trains. We’ll also have platform signs on the Red Line at the Monroe, Jackson, and Chicago stations, and on the Blue Line at the Jackson, Washington, and Monroe stations.
