October 7th marks the 11th anniversary of the War in Afganistan. We will gather along the Burnside Park fence on Washington St, facing Kennedy Plaza, at 1:00pm. AFSC will provide the masks. Marchers are asked to wear black or something dark. We will march through Kennedy Plaza, then return to our starting place. There we will read the names of U.S. soldiers and Afghan civilians who have died during the 11 years of war. Please contact email@example.com if you would like to be one of the readers.
We will hold the March of the Dead through downtown Providence Friday, October 7th at 5:00 pm to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the attack on Afghanistan. We will bear witness to the many costs of war, protest the war profiteering, and call for an end to war and occupation. We will gather at Burnside Park and walk through the downtown area, distributing leaflets.
