Peacemaking after Deadly Conflict

David Zarembka, Coordinator of the African Great Lakes Initiative of the Friends Peace Teams, will speak on "Healing and Reconciliation in Rwanda, Burundi, and Kenya."  The event begins with a potluck meal at 6 pm, followed by the program at 7 pm.  It is free and open to the public.  Sponsored by Concord Friends Meeting.

Theoneste Bizimana, co-founder and coordinator of the Healing and Rebuilding Our Communities (HROC) program in Rwanda, will lead a program on community recovery from mass violence.  The program will include the documentary film, "ICYIZERE:hope," about the work of the HROC, which is part of the Africa Great Lakes Initiative.   Shelly Stratton, a New Hampshire social worker, will also share her experience as a participant in a HROC training in Rwanda in 2012.
