the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. King was assassinated on April 4th, 1968 while supporting striking sanitation workers.  Exactly one year before that he given the Riverside Church speech, in which he not only spoke out against the war in Vietnam but linked the problems of racisim, militarism and economic injustice.
